Field rules
Effective September 4, 2026.
Internally drafted document. Must be reviewed by a Connecticut attorney before charging anyone or signing a creator. Does not replace legal advice.
These rules help protect you, the business owner and the rest of the team. Breaking them can affect everyone.
What you CAN say and do
- “I make it easier for your customer to leave a review in the moment, without searching for your listing.”
- Show the 8-second demo on the owner's phone.
- Ask for reviews from all customers equally.
- Leave the card written, tested and working on the counter.
What you must NEVER do
| Prohibited | Why |
|---|---|
| Promise or guarantee a number of reviews | Google prohibits guaranteeing results. This can put the owner's business listing at risk of a penalty. |
| Offer something in exchange for a review (discount, coffee or raffle entry) | Google explicitly prohibits incentivized reviews. |
| Filter customers: send happy customers to Google and unhappy customers elsewhere | This is called review gating and is prohibited. |
| Write reviews, ask acquaintances to write them or buy them | Fraud. Immediate termination without a refund. |
| Say that a tap “created” a review | A tap opens the form. The customer writes the review. Saying otherwise is false. |
| Invent Vincivo's customer count, business count or years in operation | The owner can verify it quickly, and you lose the sale and your credibility. |
| Promise income to another salesperson | No typical results have been established. Do not promise earnings. |
With the business owner
- The card's destination is chosen and changed by the owner. Do not change a delivered card's destination without their confirmation.
- If they ask not to be contacted, flag it in the system and do not return. This applies to the whole team.
- Do not photograph interiors or people without permission.
With data
- Record a sale when you collect payment, with the actual amount. Reporting sales that did not happen undermines the system for everyone and is grounds for termination.
- Visit notes should be about the business, not the person. Do not include sensitive data.
If you're unsure
Ask Vinci before making a promise. If Vinci flags a restriction, follow the field rules it refers to.
